During a visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, Dr. Md. Sabur Khan met with Dr. Regina Valutytė, Vice Minister of Education, Science and Sport of Lithuania. The meeting provided an opportunity to reconnect and discuss ongoing developments in higher education and international collaboration.

Dr. Khan recalled Dr. Valutytė’s visit to Daffodil International University (DIU) in 2019, when she served as Vice Rector of Mykolas Romeris University. They also met during the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP) Conference in Vilnius, further strengthening academic ties and mutual cooperation.

During the discussion, Dr. Khan shared that Daffodil International University will host the IAUP Semi-Annual Conference from 19 to 21 November 2026. The event will mark the first time an IAUP conference is held in South Asia, bringing together university leaders and higher education stakeholders from around the world.

As Treasurer-Elect of IAUP, Dr. Khan continues to promote international partnerships and collaborative initiatives that contribute to the advancement of higher education and strengthen Bangladesh’s presence in the global academic community.
