awards

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan held discussions with representatives from three Australian universities to explore academic collaboration and international study opportunities for students of Daffodil International University (DIU) and other Daffodil institutions.

The discussions covered several areas of potential collaboration:

  • Adelaide University: Shirley Chung discussed opportunities in Sports Science, Nursing, Food, and Agriculture.

  • University of Newcastle: Dr. Alek Voninski explored potential 2+2 and 3+1 study pathways in Civil and Electrical Engineering, subject to academic mapping and formal agreements.

  • Swinburne University of Technology: Bronte Neyland discussed vocational education, practical skills development, and broader academic partnerships.

Dr. Khan highlighted the importance of extending these opportunities across DIU, Daffodil International School (DIS), Daffodil Polytechnic, and other Daffodil institutions. The aim is to create suitable international study pathways, provide global exposure, and strengthen students’ practical skills and confidence.

He also expressed his appreciation to Austrade and the Australian High Commission for their positive engagement. He emphasised that the priority is to turn these discussions into practical opportunities that students can benefit from in their academic and professional journeys.
